What is NHC Portal? ▼
NHC Portal is a SaaS management platform for web hosting businesses. It lets you manage clients, billing, cPanel provisioning, support tickets, knowledge base and more — all from a bilingual French/English interface.
How is it different from WHMCS? ▼
NHC Portal is a Canadian alternative to WHMCS. It's natively bilingual FR/EN, Law 25 compliant, doesn't require ionCube, and includes 49 features without paid addons. Support is available in French.
Is the portal compliant with Quebec Law 25? ▼
Yes. The portal is developed in Quebec, license server data stays in Canada, and it includes necessary compliance features: consent, privacy policy, personal data management.
Trial & Purchase
Can I try it for free? ▼
Yes. Every plan offers a free 7-day trial with all features of the chosen plan, no credit card required. You receive a license key by email.
How does the license work? ▼
Each license is bound to a domain. You install the portal on your server, enter your license key, and the portal automatically validates against our server. Verification is transparent and doesn't affect performance.
Can I change plans? ▼
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. The price difference is prorated.
What happens when the trial ends? ▼
Your portal will stop working (redirect to license page). Your data is not deleted. You can purchase a paid plan at any time to reactivate.
Installation
What are the requirements? ▼
PHP 8.1 or higher, MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+, and a web server (Apache or LiteSpeed recommended). Works on any shared hosting or VPS.
Do I need a dedicated server? ▼
No. The portal runs on any shared hosting with PHP 8.1+ and MySQL. A VPS is recommended for Business and Enterprise plans for better performance.
Is ionCube required? ▼
No. Unlike WHMCS, NHC Portal doesn't require any proprietary PHP extension. It works with a standard PHP installation.
Do you offer installation? ▼
Yes. The Enterprise plan includes free assisted installation. For other plans, we offer an installation service for $99 (one-time).
How long does installation take? ▼
About 15 minutes for a technical user. The web installer guides each step: database configuration, table creation, license activation and admin account creation.
Features
Does the portal support cPanel/WHM? ▼
Yes. Automatic provisioning via the WHM API is included in Business and Enterprise plans. Create, suspend, unsuspend and delete accounts in one click.
Can I customize the portal with my brand? ▼
Absolutely. The portal is fully white-label. Change the logo, colors, company name and domain. Your clients will never see the NHC brand.
Is the portal bilingual? ▼
Yes, natively. The interface is available in French and English. Clients can switch languages in one click. The 380+ knowledge base articles are also bilingual.
Support & Security
How does support work? ▼
Support is available via tickets from your client area at manager.nhchosting.ca. Support is bilingual French/English. Enterprise plan includes priority support.
Is my data secure? ▼
Your data is on YOUR server — we don't have access. The only exchange with our server is license verification (key + domain). Licenses are RSA-signed, impossible to forge.
Can I transfer my license to another domain? ▼
Yes. From your client area, you can request a license reissue to change the associated domain.
